Another one of my favorite places in Barbados is Harrison's Cave. Opened in the 1970's to public viewing, you go 150 ft. underground in a little tram car and go on a rockin tour of the cave. Thanks to my awesome Gorillapod, I was able to get some good pictures in the low light condition this time!
(Noni, let me know if you want the individual file for any of these!)
There are certain places in Barbados that I take very similar pictures at every time we're there. I think it's because these images speak to me the most. One of those places is Miami Beach, in the town of Enterprise. It's such a beautiful stretch of sand, I never get tired of photographing it. Here are some of my latest images:
Ok, we've actually been back from Sunday, but I've been trying to keep my zen-like island state and ignore the fact that I'm back in a place where it snows. I'm still going through our pictures, but thought I'd share some that I've actually uploaded from the point and shoot. The unidentified person in these pictures is my good friend (and former bridesmaid!) Laura, who went with us.
taking pictures at Little Bay (I have a lot of pictures of me taking pictures... it's one of Brad's favorite things to do... not sure why!)
Laura catches up on her reading man and his machine
looking sassy at Miami Beach (no, a different Miami beach!)
this picture completely negates all I learned during my time living in Florida on how NOT to look like a tourist... geeze!
I think this sign is hilarious. "Gents arm hole shirts"!!!
Laura and I literally laughed about this for an entire week
Since we leave for Barbados SUNDAY, I thought I would supply a daily Barbados picture from now until when we leave, so you can all enjoy the sunshine virtually!
I'm a photographer who gets a kick out of traveling and documenting my trips with creative images. My loves in life include my husband, chocolate peanut butter anything, feeling the sand between my toes, interesting architectural details and curling up with a good book and fancy coffee drink. In my non-photographer life, I work on the media relations team for a major health non-profit.
